A Model-based Information-Loss Compensator for Networked Control Systems

Abstract(in English) With the development of the Internet, networked control systems (NCSs) have been attracting considerable research interest. In NCSs, performance degradation and destabilization of the control systems caused by time delays and information losses on the networks is a significant issue. This paper proposes a model-based information loss compensator, and realizes a high-precision NCS by combining with a time-delay compensator. In this paper, the networked position control system of a motor and a disturbance observer (DOB)-based robust motion control technique are presented. In addition, existing time-delay compensators are introduced. The proposed method for achieving high-precision motion control using the model-based information-loss compensator is described. Finally, simulations and experiments of position control are performed to show the effectiveness of the model-based information-loss compensator in the NCS.
