Analysis of spurious memories in hysteresis associative memories

Abstract(in English) The hysteresis neural network is a continuous-time network characterized by binary hysteresis activation function. The dynamics is described by a piecewise linear differential equation and can be analyzed precisely. The network has been applied to various systems including associative memories. In the associative memories, we have a theoretical result that guarantees storage of any number of desired memories. However, it is hard to suppress spurious memories. Performing numerical experiments based on the full search of a class of desired memories, we investigate the relation between connection parameters and the number of spurious memories.
