Abstract(in English) | OFDM/OQAM (Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing with Offset Quadrature Amplitude Modulation) has attracted a lot of attention as an alternative to conventional OFDM for the sake of not only lower sidelobe brought by the wel-designed prototype filter, but also higher transmission rate because of employing no guard interval. It is well-known that the phase noise in a receiver local oscillator (LO) signal significantly degrades the demodulation performance. Although OFDM/OQAM system suffers from the receiver phase noise more severely than OFDM, the conventional frequency domain approaches used in OFDM cannot eliminate the phase noise effects due to the staggered signal structure of OFDM/OQAM. Therefore in this paper, we propose estimation and compensation of the receiver phase noise suitable for OFDM/OQAM. While our proposed method is an extension of the conventional time domain approach in OFDM using DCT basis, the proposed method can perform it in frequency domain by the linear combination of received symbols. The performance of the proposed method is evaluated by numerical simulations. |
