Artificial Retina using Thin-Film Devices

Abstract(in English) We are developing artificial retinas using thin-film devices. Because thin-film devices can be fabricated on transparent and flexible substrates, it is possible to realize artificial retinas that are epiretinal type and simultaneously complete implantable by integrating photo-receptor devices and can be fit on the curved surface of human eyeballs. In this presentation, we succeeded in operation confirmation of stimulus signal transfer using thin-film devices in in vitro experiments.
