Abstract(in English) This talk introduces Rapyuta(TM), an enterprise ready Platform-as-a-Service framework, developed by Rapyuta Robotics(RR). RR, a cloud robotics startup, aims at building low-cost, light-weight autonomous mobile robots with high-level intelligence distributed in the cloud, enabling such robots to offload some of their heavy computation and seamlessly learn and share experiences with one another. Currently, RR is focusing on building complete cloud robotic solutions for the security and inspection markets. Once sufficient traction is achieved, RR plans to transition towards a Platform-as-a-Service provider for the emerging service robotics market.
