Abstract(in English) | In order to support persons with communication disabilities, we have been developing a versatile voice-output communication aid, named "VCAN", which can be customized more flexibly than conventional aids. In its clinical applications, collaborative support is critical while all members of user's support group share aid information. Conventional aids, however, such information could not easily be shared within the group. In order to eliminate such limitation, we developed a web-system VCAN as the second generation in the previous study. But only the last customization data could be downloaded to user's iOSR terminal, because version management of VCAN has yet to be established. Then we added the following two functions in web system VCAN: 1) data management of several aids and its versions and 2) the selection of an aid and one of its versions and its downloading to user's terminal. We made sure the operation of all functions of the updated web system VCAN by creating and operating an aid VCAN with a part of functions of the aid for a longtime VCAN user, who is a child with developmental disorders. |
