Abstract(in English) | Muscular fatigue is one of the important properties for evaluating the status of a muscle. General methods to estimate muscular fatigue depend on relative change of signal power or frequency characteristics of the surface EMG when adding the same load to the muscle. Therefore, it is extremely hard to apply such methods for estimation of muscular fatigue by using a surface EMG during exercising with variable load. In this paper, I propose two factors and one coefficient to estimate muscular fatigue. I treat muscular fatigue in the sight of the quality of muscular and neural activity. Based on wavelet coefficients of redundant wavelet analysis, I propose the quality factor of muscular activity or neural activity. And by compounding those two factors, I define the fatigue coefficient. The coefficient is calculable in real-time, is stable against load change, and varies according to influence quantity of muscular fatigue on exercise. |
