Initial parameter setting in the propagation estimation based on EM/SAGE algorithm

Abstract(in English) 5th generation mobile networks is researched as new technology which can solve the congestions in wireless networks. MIMO transmission technology in millimeter-wave is focused in research of 5th generation mobile networks. Since the performance of MIMO transmission depends on the radio propagation environment, there is need for the accurate MIMO channel model. Ray-based model is one of the channel modeling method. To use that method, there is need for channel propagation parameter estimation. SAGE algorithm is widely used in estimation of MIMO propagation parameters. SAGE estimation accuracy is heavily depends on initial estimation of propagation parameters. Therefore, I will propose new initial estimation of SAGE algorithm for improving accuracy of SAGE algorithm
