Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this paper, we propose a new frame interpolation method using video thathas two types of information; high-resolution video and high-frame ratevideo. A frame interpolation method is a technology that improves the framerate by inserting interpolated frames. However, in the case of interpolationof the low-frame rate video along the conventional method, unnaturalmovement occurs in the interpolated video, due to lack of motion informationbetween frames. So, in the proposed method, reproduce the natural movementby using the global motion that is included in high-frame ratecomponents. The experimental results show that proposed method outperforms aconventional method. In addition, we clarify the issues in the proposedmethod.
