Abstract(in English) | In recent years, electrical power industryhas payed much attention onsmart-grid which is a fusion of power supply networkand information communication network. In wireless smart-grid, after routers construct an ad hoc network, they forward electricity datato a server in a multi-hop manner. When constructing an ad hoc network, each router chooses the best link out ofcandidate links based on a pre-defined link metric, and PER (Packet Error Rate) of link has been used as a link metric. Since link state dynamically changes with time, however, the PER calculated in the past does not always correspond tothe future link state, sothe conventional link metric cannotchoose the link which is supposed to be the best when data are forwarded. In this paper, we propose a new link metricwhich considered the periodicity of link state. Using huge volumes of Received Signal Strength Indication (RSSI) datameasured in a suburban area, we evaluate the performance of a smart-grid usingthe proposed link metric by computer simulationsin terms of data collection rate. |
