Abstract(in English) | We have proposed a power consumption model of a multicore software ICN router, which estimates the power consumption due to ICN’s packet forwarding and packet-level caching. However, in the previous study, we have disabled power saving mechanisms, which modern CPU devices have, and modeled the power consumption of CPU devices as a dis- crete step-wise function of the number of active CPU cores. In this paper, we precisely model the power consumption of CPU devices with enabling their power saving mechanisms. Furthermore, we validate that the new model accurately estimate the power consumption by using three server computers with two types of CPU architectures. |
