Abstract(in English) This study addresses Huffman coding to reduce the amount of transmitted control information in wireless feedback control systems. In wireless control systems, packet loss occurs owing to wireless communication channels. By introducing a variable length coding scheme, transmitted control information is efficiently reduced. However, a variation of the rate of packet loss for the control information arises. In particular, since the important control information rarely occur, they are assigned to long codes that lead to the large packet loss rate. Therefore, the control quality deteriorates because of this feature. From this view point, we proposed a Huffman coding scheme that considers the importance of control information. We evaluate the performance of this coding scheme under a data-rate constraint and show that the proposed scheme suppresses the deterioration of the control quality and reduces the amount of transmitted control information.
