Peak Power Reduction Performance of Differential Space-Time Block Coding Employing Multiple Single Carrier Modulation Scheme

Abstract(in English) This paper discusses a technology to suppress a peak to average power ratio (PAPR) which causes problems to consider multiple single carrier (MSC) modulation scheme that transmits information using differential space-time-cording (DSTBC). MSC modulation scheme is one of multi-carrier the modulation schemes, which need to take measures on peak to average power ratio (PAPR). This paper discusses an effect of adaptive peak power reduction scheme (APPR) which can reduce PAPR on MSC-DSTBC modulation scheme. First, computer simulation shows that PAPR of MSC-DSTBC modulation scheme is highly dependent on PAPR as a function of the number of subcarriers. Next, computer simulation confirms that APPR with MSC -DSTBC modulation scheme can reduce PAPR, according to complementary cumulative distribution function (CCDF), characteristic of out-of-band radiation and bit error rate (BER). Finally, computer simulation confirms that APPR can suppress 5dB PAPR.
