Design of Compact Lowpass Filters Using Microstrip Stub-Loaded Coupled-Lines

Abstract(in English) In this paper, a microstrip lowpass filter (LPF) using stub-loaded coupled-lines is analyzed, and close-form formulas are derived for determining the frequencies at which the reflection zeros, the transmission zeros, and the 3dB cutoff occur. A compact LPF is then designed and fabricated, and the measured frequency response verifies well the derived formulas. Finally, with appropriate design and connection of two stub-loaded coupled-lines, a LPF with small size, sharp passband skirt, and very wide stopband is realized.
