Abstract(in English) | For reduction of battery consumption in wireless nodes in wireless adhoc networks, intermittent communication is introduced. In cases that the interval of intermittent communication is determined in each wireless node independently, it is difficult for the wireless nodes to be synchronized. Though location-based routing works well even in highly mobile environments, exchange of location information among neighbor nodes is difficult. In this paper, probabilistic approach for combination of GEDIR location-based routing and IRDT intermittent communication protocol is proposed. In the numerical integration in the proposed approach, the relation between computational overhead for calculation accuracy and reduction of transmission delay of wireless multihop transmissions is evaluated by simulation experiments and their tradeoff is also discussed. |
