| Abstract(in English) | In this report, to realize multi-hop communication on IEEE802.11 wireless LANs, we propose Multi-LECMAC (Lifetime Extended Cooperative MAC), an extension of LECMAC which is aimed at energy saving cooperative transmission. At fi rst, we describe how to realize cooperative communication on MAC (Media Access Control) layer, and provide an overview of LECMAC which can transmit frames on 2-hop communication. Then we propose Multi-LECMAC, which realizes more than 3-hop communication. Via simulation on an ad-hoc network, we compare the performance of the three protocols, conventional 1-hop protocol, 2-hop LECMAC, and Multi-LECMAC. |
