Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In full-duplex cellular (FDC) networks, a base station (BS) simultaneously transmits and receives signals on the same frequency band, which causes a potential to double the spectral efficiency. In FDC networks, it is neccesary to select a user according to the residual self-interference after interference cancellation and inter-user interference. In addition, the scheduler must select not only down link (DL) user but also up link (UL) user. In this paper, we analyze the performance of user scheduling for FDC networks, in order to investigate the impact of self-interference and inter-user interference on the performance of FDC networks. We analyze two user scheduling. The first one maximizes the sum of DL SINR (Signal-to-Interference-plus-Noise power Ratio) and UL one, and the second one maximizes the sum of normalized DL SINR and normalized UL one. The second one is based on the same idea as proportional fair scheduling. Numerical results show the capacity of FDC is increased as the number of users is increased. It is also shown that the capacity of FDC is lower than that of traditional cellular networks when self-interference is not well-managed. The first scheduling achieves higher capacity than the second one, and the second one provides better fairness than the first one.
