Abstract(in English) We conducted an experiment to evaluate the readability of tactile graphs that were created by our tactile graph automated creation system. In the experiment, four blind people read four types of tactile graph, bar charts, pie charts, line graphs and scatter plots, and answered the maximum or minimum items and their values. Furthermore, we sought a subjective evaluation of their readability by the blind people. The results showed high correct rates for the contents of the graphs, which proved the readability of the tactile graphs. However, subjects’ comments on the graphs revealed the need for improvements on the types of tactile lines and areas and graph rendering capability.
