[Special Talk] RF IC Chip Level Low Noise Technology for Mobile Telecommunication System by Means of Magnetic Materials

Abstract(in English) In order to improve signal transfer rate in an RF receiver circuit of a cellular phone handset, developments of high special resolution RF electromagnetic near field probe, IC chip level noise analysis & electromagnetic modeling methodology, IC chip level noise countermeasure by means of magnetic film, and evaluation & demonstration of IC chip level telecommunication performance improvement are systematically performed. It has been clarified that proposed technology well suppress intra RF IC chip noise coupling from digital circuit to RF receiver circuit by the degree of 10 dB, and improves throughput of LTE-class RF receiver circuit.
