| Abstract(in English) | This paper introduces an application of the quadratic placement optimization to intensity modulated proton therapy (IMPT). IMPT is one of the most promising method for the treatment of cancer. However, the run-time of the previous works for IMPT, especially the optimization of the amount of the beam, has not been fast enough. In this paper, we propose an application of the quadratic placement optimization to IMPT. We confirm that the resultant quality and the run-time is practical enough, empirically. |
