| Abstract(in English) | Recently, microwaves and millimeter-waves have been used in a wide variety of applications such as wireless communications, radars and sensors. Hence, simple and cost effective oscillators are required. We have reported a second-harmonic Gunn oscillator with a simple configuration to meet the requirements. The Gunn oscillator employs a Gunn diode and a slot-line resonator, and its output circuits are designed to obtain the second harmonics. In this paper, a new second-harmonic Gunn oscillator with two Gunn diodes and a slot-line resonator is proposed to provide higher output power. The measured output power was -6.41 dBm at the second harmonic frequency in 20 GHz band and the measured phase noise was -106.5 dBc/Hz at 1 MHz offset frequency. |
