Long Fixed Period Superimposed Chart for PLC Analysis and It's One Application

Abstract(in English) PLC(Power Line Communications) uses a power-line as a transmission medium. Therefore, it is affected by loads connected to the power-line. The authors proposed a novel packet capture analysis method to visualize the effects from an AC adapter connected to the power-line to PLC communications by using a chart named superimposed chart. In this study, the long fixed period superimposed chart is proposed, and by using this chart, nominal communications characteristics of the HD (High- Definition)-PLC system are analyzed. Moreover, a simplified method of synchronization for packet capture data and instantaneous power-line frequency data, which are mandatory to draw the instantaneous power-line frequency synchronized superimposed chart , is proposed.
