| Abstract(in English) | A spectrum-based color reproduction technique enables high-fidelity image display, faithful to the texture and color of the original object. In such high-fidelity color display systems, it will be possible to enhance the reality of the reproduced image if the background color in the image is matched with that surrounding the display. Therefore, we conducted a subjective evaluation experiment to investigate the effect of the background color. From the results, it was confirmed that the "reality" and "color reproducibility" were highly evaluated by matching the background color with the surround of the display. In addition, the evaluation of the “reality" and "material appearance" were higher when the background color in the image matched with that surrounding the display than the case when the background in the image was gray. |
