Abstract(in English) Monitoring growth conditions of crops by using WSN (wireless sensor network) enables us to achieve efficient agricultural supports. For the WSN, it is important to place nodes at suitably places, and radio propagation characteristics should be clarified to achieve the suitable node placement. In this paper, we measured radio propagation characteristics of 920 MHz frequency band in Togo field of Nagoya University. Based on the measured results, we clarify the path loss exponent depending on growth conditions of crops and influence on standard deviation of RSSI (received signal strength indicator) by position variation of nodes and a little change of surrounding environment.
