| Abstract(in English) | It is well-known that TV has a strong influence on viewers as the mass media. While some information got on TV often attracts a lot of attention, it is not easy to utilize the information effectively in daily life. To make TV contents useful in every situation of daily life, we aim to provide contents not just to viewers in front of TV but also to someone who is in an appropriate situation and context. In this paper, we propose a location-based TV content providing system that provides the TV contents relating to places according to where a user is. First, we made a location dictionary from Wikipedia. By using the location dictionary, we extracted topics related to places from EPG and closed-caption with natural language processing techniques. Finally, we constructed location-based TV content database, and we can provide TV content relating to places according to GPS information. |
