Abstract(in English) | In this paper, we present battery-less agricultural sensor system that is wirelessly powered from unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV). There are several trials that using UAV as a mobile wireless power transmitter and driving sensor nodes by the transmitted power with microwave. However, introducing the system to agricultural applications, microwave will likely be reflected or absorbed by crops and soil which richly contain moisture since microwave propagation significantly affected by water. As a result, power transmission efficiency will depend on transmitter’s positions. On the other hand, there could be another efficient powering position. Thus, we attempted to measure effects by moisture and proposed to position tracking method to maximize the transmission efficiency. |
