| 抄録(和) | Many Internet services today are provided by feature-rich applications, each having certain networking and computation requirements, such asnetwork resource selection, and parallel computing. However, because ofthe limits of modern networking, applications must rely on sophisticatedend systems in order to satisfy these requirements. This paper introduces a novel network architecture employing anapplication-oriented gateway, utilizing SDN and NFV, that connects edgenetworks to a core implementing virtualized network slices. We show howthis gateway helps enhance applications' capabilities by allowinginstallation of custom service-oriented programs on both data-plane andcontrol-plane, thus giving applications more flexibility over theirrequirements. |
