Analysis of stray Coupling in an EMC Filter and Reduction Methods

Abstract(in English) In this paper, electromagnetic compatibility filter is modeled considering the stray coupling. Based on this model, the novel coupling reduction methods are proposed and confirmed by experiments. The stray coupling of two stage pi-shaped filter is investigated. The filter is composed of through-capacitors, film-capacitors, and magnetic coils. The stray coupling is affected by the resonance phenomena at the film-capacitor. The resonance frequency is determined by the capacitance of through-capacitor and the inductance of film-capacitor lead. The stray coupling can be reduced 30dB by controlling the capacitance of the through-capacitors.
