Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Chaos multiple-input multiple-output (C-MIMO) scheme is a transmission scheme with Gaussian modulation, where physical-layer security and channel coding effect are obtained. In C-MIMO, the Gaussian transmit signal correlated with a transmit bit sequence is composed by averaging multiple independent chaos signals which have different initial values, modulated by the transmit bit sequence. A common key encryption in which the key is chaos initial values, and the channel coding by Gaussian coded modulation are realized by this scheme. However, because the Gaussian signals are generated according to the principle of law of large numbers, about ten independent chaos are needed, resulting in the increase of calculation complexity. In addition to that, the probability density function of the phase in transmit signals somewhat departed from the uniform distribution, and it caused the degradation of bit error rate performance. Therefore, in this paper, we propose a C-MIMO with an improved Gaussian modulation, where the stochastic characteristic is improved by applying Box-Muller method with only one chaos signal. We also show the improved performances of bit error rate. The performances of the proposed scheme are evaluated by numerical simulations.
