Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Recently many research about OpenFlow are ongoing, and many applications, services and tools related to OpenFlow are developed in those researches. A modern approach for verifying OpenFlow related products is to construct and utilize virtual networks which emulate the behavior of the actual network. Mininet is one of the major tools for emulating networks. It can easily construct large-scale network to verify the network functions of target applications. However, since Mininet was designed to run on a single node, it basically cannot handle large-scale network emulation with certain amounts of CPU load on each hosts. If a target network function to be verified is established by coordinate with the both network and application layer programs, the application layer load may interfere the verification process. In this research, we develop a tool for constructing large-scale emulated networks with Mininet over multiple nodes. Using this tool, one can emulate and verify large-scale networks which require relatively high CPU and memory resources, with minimal configuration.
