Design of Frequency Selective Spiral Slot located in Near-Field of Wireless Power Transfer System by Plane Wave Incidence Model

Abstract(in English) Electromagnetic noise from Wireless Power Transfer (WPT) systems causes malfunction of surrounding electronic equipments and performance degradation of WPT systems. Then, we propose to shield the transmitter by metal case with frequency selective spiral slot located at the middle of the transmitting and receiving helical antennas. So that, only electromagnetic energy of WPT is transmitted and electromagnetic noises are prevented. However, electromagnetic field between two magnetic coupled helical antennas are perturbed due to the frequency selective spiral slot located between the antennas. Furthermore, the performance of the frequency selective spiral slot excited by plane wave is different from the performance of the frequency selective spiral slot excited in the two helicals. In this study, we design frequency selective spiral slot by plane wave incident periodic analysis at the same operating frequency with WPT analysis model. Consequently, the WPT system of near field coupled helical antennas in which the frequency selective spiral slot is cut on the infinite ground plane operates transmitting property at 12MHz band. The mechanism of the system is investigated by electromagnetic analysis.
