Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | In this report, an optical fiber oxygen sensor has been developed using GI multi-mode optical fiber. Porous composite membranes were formed at tip of the optical fiber by layer-by-layer technique and immobilized Ruthenium (Ru) complex. Phosphorescence of Ru complex excited by blue light is quenched by ambient oxygen. Therefore, oxygen concentration is decided by change of phosphorescent intensity. In this experiment, three kinds of oxygen sensors were developed and evaluated these phosphorescent characteristics. As a result, 5-layer sensor has similar phosphorescence intensity, sensitivity and reproducibility compared to 50-layer sensor. Phosphorescence could not be obtained in 125-layer sensor. |
