Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The author joined Mechanical Engineering Laboratory, Agency of Industrial Science and Technology and started to study underwater acoustics in 1979. Since then, the research fields were underwater acoustics, nonlinear propagation of ultrasound, acoustic radiation pressure, acoustic streaming and sonochemistry. The author would like to summarize the consequence of these developments of research fields and point out the importance of “optimization” and “standardization” in the study of ultrasonics for the promising technology.
