A Novel Rectification Method for Character Regions Extracted from Natural Images

Abstract(in English) In recent years , character recognition technologies in natural scenes are widely studied. However, most of existing OCR system does not work well for projected characters. In this paper, we present a novel rectification method for projected character regions extracted from natural images. Our method enables to rectify character regions correctly by estimating vanishing points. Our experimental results show recognition rate drastically in our method.
