Abstract(in English) | This paper discusses bit error rate (BER) performance of demodulation schemes based on higher order channel prediction for multi-level modulation index, assuming multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) spatial multiplexing (SM) for per transmit antenna differential mapping (PADM), which generates an independent differentially encoded sequence for each of the multiple transmit antennas by means of space-time coding and mapping. As PADM is one of differential space-time coding, it has to employ per-survivor processing (PSP). PSP can employ decision-feedback sequence estimation (DFSE) for its state reduction scheme. This paper evaluates BER performance in the case of 2-transmit antenna spatial multiplexing as a function of number of receive antennas. Finally, computer simulation results confirm that the proposed scheme with 4 receive antennas has BER performance of less than $10^{-3}$, where the maximum Doppler frequency normalized by symbol rate, $f_{D}T$, is a few % and frequency efficiency is 4bps/symbol. |
