| Abstract(in English) | Biometrics is the important method for personal identification because of high precision and convenience. In this paper, we propose the personal authentication method by using eye blinks. This method can perform unconscious and continuous authentication. This method employs the five blink features for personal authentication which were obtained from the time series variation of the edge intensity in four regions around the eye. In this paper, we investigated the recognition performance by changing the number of blink features. From the experimental results, the equal error rate decreases by increasing the number of blink parameters. The best results of recognition performance using the voluntary or spontaneous eye blinks were three and six blink features, respectively. |
