Implementation of monitoring tool with DAISY in special needs education

Abstract(in English) Nowadays, learning with ICT devices has been promoted in many educational institutions. Especially for students with special needs, these devices are frequently used in various educational situations. Based on this background, the purpose of this study is to develop a teaching support tool for teacher for students with special needs. At first step, we propose a learning activity monitoring tool. Our subjects are student who has difficulty in reading. When they use a tablet device with DAISY reading book application, our tool is able to record whole operation of students. To visualizing a learning log, our tool generates HTML5 file based on the operation history of a student. In this paper, we describe the conceptual design and requirements for our tool. Then, some interface of this tool and use cases are also shown.
