Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) With the growth of wireless technology and demand for ubiquitous connection, the need for accurate positioning is also increasing. In urban areas, positioning accuracy from satellite systems is degraded because of multipaths from buildings. To reduce these multipath effects, advanced satellite systems like Quazi-Zenith Satellite (QZS) system in addition to Global Positiong System (GPS) are being used. In this study, ray tracing method is used to evaluate the satellite availability and effective use of GPS and multiple QZS.
