Abstract(in English) | The applications of GHz radio waves are expanding as personal/public communications, near field links between information devices, object sensing in transportation industries, and etc. Therefore Electromagnetic (EM) Field Control techniques should be used so that the EM field strength may be kept under a certain limit value in the restricted area for the better performances of the applications. For these purposes, the authors have been investigating the shielding techniques by arrays of many thin wires. To calculate the fields, ‘thin wire approximations’ have been used that give the fields by composition of the scattering waves from each wire. In this report, the case of infinite number of wires in a linear array is discussed. And the apparent admittance of the wire (the inverse: wire impedance Zwire) is used for the analyses, which was introduced in the previous reports. The induced currents of the wire arrays and the Electric Field reductions in the shielded space for illumination of TM plane waves are estimated. Adding them, the method to find the better wire impedance giving the more reductions is discussed. As one of the methods, the addition of virtual capacities is discussed basing on the circuit treatments. |
