Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In learning history, it is important to understand causal relationships among historical events and a chain of the relationships. A causal map, in which the historical events are represented as nodes and the causal relationships are represented as links between the nodes, can visualize the relationships and the causal chain. However, it is difficult to become aware of them in the map generation. This paper proposes a method to allow the learners to become aware of the causal relationships between historical events and the causal chain with pseudo-haptic feedback on iPad. This paper also demonstrates a tablet tool on iPad, which helps the learners generate a causal map from a historical text.
