A Consideration on Massive MTC Access for LTE-Advanced

Abstract(in English) 5G (5th Generation) radio communication technologies are recently getting more and more attention. For one of the most important features in 5G, it is expected that a massive number of M2M (Machine to Machine) UEs (User Equipments) can be served (Massive Machine Type Communication Access: Massive MTC Access), and IDMA (Interleave Division Multiple Access), SCMA (Sparse Code Multiple Access) and other technologies have been investigated as its solutions so far. In this paper, we propose and explain about Transport Block Aggregation where a plurality of DL (Downlink) packets for multiple UEs are aggregated and channel coded together in order to increase M2M traffic capacity, to reduce an overhead in control and to enhance an operability. Also we show our preliminary evaluation results on it
