| Abstract(in English) | This paper presents the Universal Software Radio Peripheral (USRP) prototyping of multidimensional trellis coded modulation (MD-TCM)/OFDM communication system using the IEEE802.22 wireless regional area network (WRAN) standard. The IEEE802.22 is a wireless communication standard operating over unused VHF/UHF band so called TV white space. In this paper MD-TCM is applied to the IEEE 802.22-based OFDM communication system to achieve higher rate data transmission capability, instead of conventional convolutional coding and QAM. Four-dimensional TCM based on Wei construction is applied as MD-TCM. By using LabVIEW and MATLAB as the implementation platform, MD-TCM/OFDM transmitter and receiver are successfully implemented into USRP. |
