Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This report proposes a new imaging method to clearly visualize a specific depth in a 3-D scene. The proposed method uses an optical system that consists of a pair of parabolic mirrors facing each other whose focal position and vertex correspond with each other. An image sensor is set at one-side of the vertices and an object is set at the other side. This system can photograph only a particular part in the object that exists at the focal position corresponding to the image sensor. Experiments in a simulation show that a particular depth is effectively observed even when significant obstacles exist. We also investigate the depth of field from the changes in the degree of the blur of images by capturing an object while moving it in the direction normal to the plane of the image sensor.
