Abstract(in English) | In this paper we study radiation characteristics of curved surface patch antenna by means of analytical approach. Aperture size of curved patch is equivalently reduced in comparison with flat patch antenna, so that beam-width slightly broadens and gain decreases. Because electrical size of patch generally is small, it is adequate to employ such numerical approach as method of moment in order to calculate its radiation characteristics. But here, we try to apply analytical approach, aperture field method, to the surface-curved rectangular patch element. The radiation pattern is expressed by Fresnel integral since phase distribution of main two slots can be approximated to quadratic shape. |
