Performance estimation and design method of the electromagnetic shield room for the magnetic field in kHz frequency band

Abstract(in English) The shielding effectiveness of infinite plane material is considered by Schelkunoff equation. Because of the effect of joint part, the shielding effectiveness of the electromagnetic shield room is significantly different from that considered by Schelkunoff equation. Recently, magnetic field shield in kHz frequency band become important because of the development of the wireless power transfer system. This report describes both prediction of the shielding effectiveness of architectural shielded enclosure for the magnetic field in kHz frequency band and design method according to the target shield performance. Moreover we constructed the test shield room using the developed design method and measured the shielding effectiveness and compared to the prediction.
