Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This report discusses an approach for radar target classification and identification using multi-aspect radar data. First, a parametric representation of single-aspect radar signature is derived under a high-frequency approximation, and two essential parameters for the parametric representation are employed as features for target classification and identification. Next, multi-aspect radar data is considered for improving the classification and identification performance. In order to characterize the sequential information in multi-aspect radar signatures, a state transition model is introduced and its effectiveness is discussed.
