Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Ultra wideband (UWB) technology achieves high accuracy ranging based on time of arrival (TOA) measurements. Narrow band interference (NBI) often degrades the performance. In this research, we propose an interference mitigation scheme using a direction of arrival estimation method which points nulls of the array antenna to the direction of the interference waves. This method enables mitigation only for the frequency and the direction of interferences with small calculation cost utilizing characteristics of desired wideband signals. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed method effectively mitigate interference and reconstruct UWB signals at direct-sequence impulse radio (DS-IR) and time-hopping impulse radio (TH-IR) signals.
