Abstract(in English) Millimeter-wave is the electromagnetic wave having a high directivity and a high penetration into materials such as plastics, cloth, paper and so on. In security imaging, we use these features to discover weapons concealed under clothes. We previously proposed a millimeter-wave imaging system using complex-valued self-organizing map (CSOM) image processing. This system uses amplitude-modulated millimeter wave as illumination, and a one-dimensional array antenna captures the wave to generate signals by envelope-detection. This realizes high throughput and low cost of the system. This report investigates the effects of measurement and image-processing parameters on visualization qualities.
