Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Our previously reported preliminary version of phantom composition design software aimed to support radio engineers inexperienced with phantom fabrication yet who need phantoms for electromagnetic measurements. The composition design software has enabled such engineers to increase the efficiency of phantom fabrication and generate design results via multiple regression analyses of a prefabricated, water-based phantom composition database with a target range of 1-5 GHz. Though relatively effective for phantoms with relative permittivity and conductivity exceeding 40 and 5 [S/m], respectively, the software is fundamentally difficult to apply to both skin and tooth phantoms whose electrical parameters are excluded from the aforementioned database. In response, this paper describes a modified phantom composition design system to develop human-equivalent phantoms with relative permittivity and conductivity of less than 40 and 5 [S/m], respectively, by using glycerin as the base material and the secondary materials of water, silicone emulsion, and soybean oil. This paper also describes the measurement results for a skin and tooth phantom to assess the software's validity and effectiveness.
