Feature quantities of basic mixed-rule cellular automata

Abstract(in English) This paper studies basic dynamics of mixed-rule cellular automata (MCA):digital dynamical systems in which time, space and states are all discrete. Depending on the rule, the MCA can exhibit a variety of spatiotemporal patterns. In order to analyze the dynamics, we visualize the dynamics on the digital return map and introduce feature quantities of steady state and transient phenomena. Performing numerical experiment for basic examples, typical phenomena are demonstrated and are considered.
